Art class with Frankie

Monday mornings have become delightful Frankie and mom time- we go to art class, then walk around Arlington center, get a coffee and read books at a cafe, and then go pick Ben up from preschool. It's so nice having a special routine with my sweet little lady!

Visit from Rosie

Rosie and her family came to visit us the day after Thanksgiving. Ben was SO excited to see his friend, and they had a great time playing for hours on end. We're still lobbying for them to move back to Bostonland!

the kids chose their own costumes this year: a blue dog and pink kitty, custom-made by Kate of course! because where can you buy a blue dog and pink kitty costume?

Ben the sculptor

We went to Decordova again this morning. We hit our usual favorite spot, 'the magic tree.'

And the big pipes, which the kids could stay playing on forever.

When we got home, Ben was too excited about making a sculpture garden to take a nap. He has some pretty amazing artistic instincts (I'm impartial, of course!).

It's been a beautiful New England fall. We've taken full advantage of it, spending lots of time outside. 

Frankie and I went for a hike in the woods of Lincoln last week.

And she figures out how to do the 'airplane swing,' which she's pretty excited about.

Ben has been a good helper with the raking, but usually jut so he can jump in the pile and mess it all up again.
