Just hanging out with some newborn lambs

Frankie and I are taking the Polliwogs class at Drumlin Farm while Ben is at school on Wednesdays. The first week we got to go into the sheep pen, where there are 23 lambs less than 2 weeks old. It was total cuteness overload.

Almost spring, almost

We had a lovely warm day, and took full advantage, with a bike ride, some seedling planting, and mud-pie making extravaganza.

miami beach!

Kate and the kids are enjoying some sunshine and beach time down in Miami while our floors are being refinished. Hey, if you have to leave the house for a couple of days, might as well go someplace warm!

family room & tower renovation...getting close!

Our renovation project seems to be never-ending, though some real progress has been made recently. We especially love the big new carriage doors:

Spiral stairs in the tower are now done and we added slim shelves to further block kids from falling down the chute!

 

Hotel living

We got booted out of our house for a few days because of floor finish fumes, so we had an impromptu staycation in a Boston hotel. Ben thinks room service and the hotel pool are the cat's meow. The view was pretty amazing, too.

Wintery winter

It's been cold. And snowy. We've been making the most of it with some frequent snowy day shenanigans.

Ben got a Hot Wheels car maker for Christmas (it's actually a kid-size but real injection mold kit!) Of course he thought of an improved design and had to draw out a plan on paper…
