Riding in style

Tony got me a very snazzy new bike as an early birthday present. I adore the lovely grey color and the neat rack, and all those gears are making hills a cinch. My carbon footprint is rapidly shrinking!

We also got a trailer for Ben.

Despite the cranky face, he totally loved going for a ride. Now if we can get him to cooperate about the helmet.

Big kid bed

Last week Ben asked us to remove the front of his crib. So, we gave him some tools and let him have at it (with a little help from his dad). He has been sleeping like a champ in his new big boy digs, and loves jumping in and out of bed (just because he can now).

Father's Day 2011

I had the best Father's day thanks to Ben. We went to a vintage air show, which also featured many awesome things for little boys like tanks, trucks, oldey-timey tractors, and race cars. He's been telling stories about it all week!

Cambridge Commons

We went last week to the Cambridge Commons (or the 'sand playground' as Ben calls it). Coincidentally, Ben's best buddy Leonardo showed up at the same time, wearing the same crane truck shirt.

Ben found a great puddle to splash through, and over the course of an hour running back and forth somehow managed to end up in just a diaper. (He's not big on wearing clothes in the summertime.)

We all had a wonderful day taking Ben to see the ocean for the first time at Nantasket Beach.
